Jason D Gage

Jason D. Gage, 86, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, August 30, 2009, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo. He was born November 14, 1922 in Elkader, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Cornelia (Yearous) Gage. Jason married Anna Marie Stephens on August 19, 1944 in Waterloo, Iowa. She preceded him in death on June 12, 2008. Jason served in the United States Navy during WW II. He owned and operated a plumbing business for many years. Survivors include three sons, Melvin (Sue) Gage of Waterloo, Roger (Rebecca) Gage of Lawler, Iowa, and Ronald (Mindy) Gage of Waterloo, six grandchildren, Bonnie, Rhonda, Michelle, Joseph, Jamie and Jackie,five great grandchildren, Sydney, Olivia, Pedro, Kyle and Jacob,and a sister, Lena Schichtl, of Cedar Falls. Jason was preceded in death by his wife and parents; a grandson, Jason; four brothers, Levi, Milliard, Al and Clifford Gage, and a sister, Catherine Koons. Family-directed graveside services will be 3:00 pm Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. Memorials may be directed to the family. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.
