JASON JOEL CARMICHAEL,
30, of Cedar Falls and his special friend, Amanda Schotter, died Sunday, March 6, 2005 of injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. Jason was born August 13, 1974 in Cedar Falls the son of Robert & Christie (Tank) Carmichael. He was employed as a Letter Carrier with the United States Post Office in Waterloo, Iowa. Jason married Stacy Kosher in June of 1996 and they were later divorced.
Survivors include his son, Jaden Carmichael of Tallahassee, Florida; his parents, Bob & Christie Carmichael of Unionville, Missouri; two sisters, Mikaela (Brandon) Kienitz of Belle Plaine, Iowa and Kathryn Block of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Craig (Debbie) Carmichael of Olathe, Kansas and Ritch Carmichael of Faribault, Minnesota; three nieces, Kilei Carmichael, Heidi Block and Sabrina Carmichael; four nephews, Zachary Carmichael, Riley Kienitz, Pierce Kienitz and John Block; and a great niece, Sonya Block. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew in infancy, Sidney Carmichael.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2005 at Nazareth Lutheran Church with interment in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family to establish a trust fund for Jaden Carmichael.
