Jared D. Trimble, 20, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born October 5, 1993 in Waterloo, the son of Darin and Annette (Matthias) Trimble. Jared graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 2012 and currently attended the University of Northern Iowa, where he was a Teacher Assistant in the Earth and Environmental Science Department. Survivors include his parents of Cedar Falls; his sister, Kaitlin Trimble, of Cedar Falls; his fiancé, Jordan Derhammer, of Cedar Falls; his maternal grandparents, Virgil & Mary Matthias, of Readlyn, Iowa and his paternal grandparents, David & Donna Trimble, of Fairbank, Iowa. Jared was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Carol Matthias and his great grandparents. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 47:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Bend Humane Society, the Earth Science Department at UNI or the National Tiger Sanctuary in Chestnutridge, Missouri.
