Janice Heath

Janice M. Heath, 76, of Waterloo, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Friday, December 30, 2016, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born October 8, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa. Janice married Joseph M. Heath on March 29, 1958 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2015. Janice worked at John Deere & Company in Waterloo for 28 years, retiring in 1999.

She is survived by two sons, Randy (Debbie) Heath of Des Moines, Iowa and Bradley (Jennifer) Heath of Waterloo; a daughter, Cindy (Rory) Martin, of Scottsdale, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Josh (La Tosha) Heath, Chris (Bethany) Heath, Matt (Courtney) Faux, Kim Faux, Stephanie (Mike) Aswegan, Travis Heath and Sara Martin; 12 great grandchildren; two brothers, Clinton Smith of Mitchell, South Dakota and Robert (Jeaneen) Lindeland of Nashua, Iowa, and two sisters, Cleo Sullivan of Seaside, California and LaVonne (Stanley) Mason of Ft. Myers, Florida.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Emma Christina (Christensen) Lindeland; her husband, Joseph Heath, and three sisters, Dawn Smith, Avis Wilmot and Wanelda Blanchard.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5—7:00 p.m. Tuesday, and one hour before service Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice. Janice was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed her family and friends, and liked to play cards and bingo.
