Janice Kay Fleetwood

Janice Kay Fleetwood, 78, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Thursday, December 6, 2018, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was born May 10, 1940 in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Delmar and Elaine (Ashpole) Hill. Janice married Alan Fleetwood on August 31, 1973 at Christ Lutheran Church in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on October 31, 2010. Janice was a graduate of Thompson High School in Thompson, Iowa and Allen School of Nursing in Waterloo. She was a registered nurse in Waterloo and later in Davenport, Iowa, where she became Director of Nursing.

She is survived by two sons, Randy Peterson of Waterloo and Rick Peterson of Hazelton, Iowa; two daughters, Robyn (Dennis) Hanson of Shreveport, Louisiana and Ronda (Rick) Hummel of Grand Junction, Colorado; four step children, Martin, Michael, Mitzi and Michelle Fleetwood; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a brother, Cliffton (Pat) Hill and a sister, Phyllis (Donnie) Hinton, both of Thompson, Iowa.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Services are being planned for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with burial at Garden of Memories in Waterloo.
