Janice M Cawelti

Jane was born on May 5, 1917, at Rock Island, Illinois the daughter of Frank and Helen (Boehler) Laube. She married Franklin Burns on January 13, 1936 at Rock Island, Illinois. He preceded her in death. She married Elmer C. Cawelti September 9, 1978 at Cedar Falls, Iowa. Before her retirement in 1978, she worked as a clerk in Berg and Berg Pharmacy. Jane died on Monday, December 6, 1999 at the Western Home Martin Center at the age of 82 years.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer of Cedar Falls, two daughters, Sharon Kreb of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Barbara Tobiason of Scotch Grove, Iowa; one step-son, Scott Cawelti of Cedar Falls, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Keith, Kevin and Karl Kreb, Kim and Kyle Tobiason, Christa and Jason Cawelti and Jeremiah and Blaine Cawelti and six great-grandchildren.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, one brother, Frank Laube and one step-son, James Cawelti.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 1999, at First United Methodist Church in Cedar Falls with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
