Janet Mary Frishman

Janet Mary Frishman, age 89, went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday October 19, 2018 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, under the care of Hospice. Surrounded by those who loved her dearly. In accordance with Janet's wishes, cremation has taken place.

Janet Mary Martin was born in Foxholm, Minnesota on September 20, 1929 to Fredrick and Theresa Martin. She received her formal education at a variety of Catholic Schools.  She married Lyle Frishman on July 6, 1954.  They had three daughters which were her whole life.

She had a very loving and generous heart and found much joy working as a CNA. Her pride and joy was her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a flair for decorating and enjoyed spending her leisure time making their home special. Janet was a pet owner and loved her many pets she had throughout her lifetime. Janet also enjoyed spending time watching classical movies and listening to her music.

Janet is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Lyle Frishman, Cedar Falls, Iowa; her children, Patricia (Roger) Nogosek of Jamestown, ND, Sheryl (Danny) Misslin of Beulah, ND and Robin (Craig) Stewart of Cedar Falls, IA; her 7 beautiful grandchildren, Ryan, Troy, Lance, Robert, Casey, Alisha, and Matthew and 11 great grandchildren; her sisters, Shirley (Charles Cherry) Hunkins and Doris Burhans, both of Breckenridge, MN and Monica Lahren of Nimrod, MN, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Theresa Martin; her brother, Stanley "Bud" Martin, and her sisters, Winnifred Burhans, Carol Kosick, Juliette Dietz, June Mehl and Lenore Haggert.
