JAMES RICHARD WILLIAMS was born June 21, 1940, at Oran, Iowa, the son of Rufus and Ella (Taylor) Williams. He married Marjorie Chase, on October 23, 1982, in Cedar Falls, Iowa. James served with the U.S. Army and was a member of Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49. He was a paramedic, operating Metro Ambulance Service, later called Advanced Life Support. Jim was also an apartment manager for Janmann Investments in Cedar Falls. He died on Wednesday, August 4, 1999 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa at 59 years of age.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Cedar Falls, Iowa; one daughter, Rhonda and her husband, Michael Morgan of Finchford, Iowa; three grandchildren, Matthew, Renee and Richard; two brothers, Jerry Williams of Oelwein, Iowa and John Williams of Hawkeye, Iowa and two sisters, Ethel Adams of Oran, Iowa and Ruby Medlin of Waterloo, Iowa. James was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Paulene Hertges and six brothers, Ernest, Harry, Russell, Cecil, Lester and Lawrence Williams.
Funeral services were 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 1999, at First Assembly of God Church, with burial at Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the family.
