James Edward Trower, 51, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. He was born October 22, 1955 in Oelwein, Iowa, the son of Bernard A. and Helen J. (Graesch) Trower. James graduated from East High School in Waterloo in 1973. He married Debbie Ott and they were later divorced. He married Karla Dean Wittren on November 6, 1976 at Cedar Falls, Iowa. James served in the United States Army and also the National Guard. He worked for Samson Fabrication Inc. in Waterloo.
James is survived by his wife, Karla Dean of Cedar Falls; two sons, James Edward (Jessica) Trower of Waterloo and Daniel John Tower (fiancé, Brooke Ehlers) of Cedar Falls: and one daughter, Jennifer Sue (David) Matlock of Ames, Iowa; two grandsons, Alexander and Joseph Trower and one step granddaughter, Erin Matlock; his parents, Bernard and Helen Trower of Waterloo; two brothers, David (Susan) Tower of Waterloo and John (Pam) Trower of St. Charles Minnesota and one sister, Janann (Sheryl Johnson) Tower of Waterloo.

James was preceded in death by one son, Nicholas James Trower in 1993.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with inurnment in Cedar Valley Memorial Cemetery both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family.
