James S. Godsey, Jr., 72, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, November 6, 2017, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.  He was born December 16, 1944 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of James S. Godsey, Sr. and Opal (Craycraft) Godsey.  Jim married Becky Morrison on July 31, 1965 in Cedar Falls.  He worked for John Deere & Company in Waterloo for 48 years, retiring June 30, 2011. Jim loved his family and hot rod cars.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Godsey, of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Shirley Wellman West of Belton, Missouri, Julie Godsey of Raymore, Missouri and Charity (Steve) Rosteck of Parkersburg, Iowa; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; his sister, Joyce (Larry Phipps) Jones, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and many nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
