James E Bundy

James E. Bundy, 78, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls. He was born September 19, 1929 in Cedar Falls, the son of Lloyd and Hazel (Edwards) Bundy. James married Marian Peters on January 20, 1951 in Cedar Falls. He served with the US Army in Alaska during the Korean Conflict and retired as a conductor in 1991 from the Chicago Central & Pacific Railroad, with over forty years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Marian, of Cedar Falls; one son, Steve Bundy, of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Valerie (Don) DeGroote, of New Hartford; four grandchildren, Kobey (Brad) Swarts of New Hartford, Andrew DeGroote, of Norwalk, Iowa, Travis and Jenna Bundy of Cedar Falls, and one great granddaughter, Gentry Swarts.

James was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Giesler, and an infant brother and sister.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Friday, June 13, 2008, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 68:00 pm Thursday and one hour before service at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family.
