James D. Betts

James D. Betts, 56, of Sumner, Iowa, died Monday, March 4, 2019, at UnityPoint Health Allen Hospital in Waterloo. He was born June 24, 1962 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Bill and Judy (Adkisson) Betts. James was a graduate of Boone High School in Orlando, Florida. He worked construction, was an auto mechanic, and most recently worked for Mott Properties in Sumner.

James is survived by his mother, Judy Betts, of Orlando, Florida; his brother, Robert (Faye) Betts and his sister, Alicia Sura-Betts, both of Orlando; two nephews and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his father and his son, Cory Betts.
