James Edwin Beasley, 83, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, from injuries sustained in a bicycle/automobile accident. He was born July 17, 1925 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Frank and Adeline (Story) Beasley. James married Patricia Ann Reardon on November 6, 1948 at First United Methodist Church in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on September 9, 2004. James served in the US Navy during WW II and worked at John Deere & Company for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1983.
Survivors include a son, James (Sherri) Beasley, of Waverly; two daughters, Sandy (Steve) Sonnack of Waterloo and Kathy Hebert of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

James was preceded in death by his parents and wife; a great grandchild; two brothers, Carl and Ben, and three sisters, June, Diane and Betty.

There will be no public services or visitation. Memorials may be directed to the family.
