Jake Folkers

He is survived by his wife, Gail, of Cedar Rapids; one son, Junior Folkers; one daughter, Claudia Folkers; two step sons, Roger LaCoursiere Jr. and Jeffery LaCoursiere; two step daughters, Theresa Ellis and Dottie Newlon, all of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Dawn Larson and Carrie Tusing; three great grandchildren; one brother Richard (Delores) Folkers, of Finchford, Iowa and one sister Ruth Smith, of Waterloo.

Jake was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Margaret Daugherty and Shirley Mae Folkers, one infant son; three brothers, Ben, Fred and Raymond Folkers, and two sisters, Gertrude Van Lengen and Sena Adelmund.

Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 22, 2009, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, 266-7525, with visitation from 4—7:00 pm Monday.
