JACOB LEE "JAKE"
HAWKENSON, 20, of Cedar Falls died Sunday, July 18, 2004 in Cedar Falls. He was born October 2, 1983 the son of Paulette Hagarty Hawkenson & Kevin Hawkenson. Jake graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 2002 and was currently a junior at the University of Northern Iowa. He was employed by Carlos O'Kelly's Mexican Café. He was an Eagle Scout and was on the Dean's List at U.N.I.
Survivors include his mother, Paulette Hagarty Hawkenson of Cedar Falls, his father, Kevin Hawkenson of Chaska, Minnesota; one brother, Chad Jason Hawkenson of Norwood, Minnesota; two sisters, Blair Renee Hawkenson and Lauren Beth Hawkenson, both of Cedar Falls, his niece, Abigail Rose Hawkenson and many Aunts and Uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Maurice J. & Mary L. Hagarty, and his paternal grandmother, Betty Lou Hawkenson.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. A memorial fund will be established.
