Irving O. Juhl, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at NewAldaya Lifescapes. Irving was born July 22, 1920, at Carpenter, Iowa, the son of Christian & Emma (Johnson) Juhl. He married Irene Rindels October 4, 1938 in Waverly, Iowa. She preceded him in death November 4, 1992. Irving served his country in the U. S. Navy during WWII. He was plant manager at Wagner Manufacturing for 30 years and at Wayne Engineering for 20 years, retiring in 1982. Irving was a 51 year member of the VFW. Survivors include his son, Larry, of Cedar Falls; three grandchildren, Tim Juhl, Ted (Welly) Juhl and Toni (Brian) McCaffery; and a sister, Carol Goerke, of Oelwein. Irving was preceded in death by his parents and wife, and three brothers, Melvin, Leonard and Chalmer Juhl. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, October 22, 2012, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with military honors conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
