IRENE E.
CLOW, 82, of Waterloo, died of natural causes on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She was born February 23, 1923 in Ionia, Iowa, the daughter of Ezra and Blanche (Shoup) Huffman. Irene married James W. Clow on September 6, 1939 in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1984. Irene was a bookkeeper for over 30 years at her husband's business, Jim's Radio & TV in Waterloo.
Survivors include her two sons, Gerald (Sandy) Clow of Waterloo and Michael (Janice) Clow of Denver, Colorado; two daughters, Joyce Clow and Phyllis of Waterloo; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Iris and Thelma Huffman.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sons, Robert E. Clow and Darrell R. Clow; two brothers, Lewis and Levi Huffman, and a sister, Angie Simerson.
Funeral services were 1:30 pm Saturday, November 5, 2005 at New Beginnings Wesleyan Church, with interment at Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the church.
