Inus M Sankey

INUS M.SANKEY was born April 21, 1934 in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Marie (Lang) Van Brocklin. She married George W. Sankey May 20, 1951 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Inus held numerous positions in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area as well as being a full time homemaker. She died Thursday, November 16, 2000, at her home at the age of 66 years. Survivors include her husband, George; one daughter, Debra Berry and her husband, David, of Omaha; four sons, Gary Sankey and his wife, Sue, of Cedar Falls, George Sankey and his wife, Jackie, of Omaha, Gordon Sankey of Cedar Falls, and Galen Sankey of Omaha, sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Van Brocklin of Oelwein and Lester Van Brocklin of Raymond; and five sisters, Margaret Kauten of Independence, Deloris Teepe of Dunkerton, Helen Teepe of Linn Grove, Patricia Brown of Raymond and Donna Brown of Jesup. Inus was preceded in death by her parents, twin granddaughters, two sisters, Darlene Westcott and Dorothy Van Brocklin, and one brother, Donald Van Brocklin. Memorial services were 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 20, 2000, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with inurnment at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
