Ingeborg A. Kress

Ingeborg A. Kress, 94, Cedar Falls, died Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the Denver Sunset Home, Denver, Iowa.  Inge was born June 14, 1929 in Austria to the late Andreas and Hedwig (Muehlegger) Kruckenhauser.  She married James Kress on September 16, 1950 in Innsbrook, Austria.  The couple were blessed with four children: Richard, Arthur, Andrea and Daryl.  Inge received her teaching degree from UNI and taught foreign languages (French and German) in the Reinbeck school system for several years.  Inge and James celebrated 62 devoted years together before his death on June 7, 2013.

Inge is survived by her loving children, Richard (Dorothy) Kress of Kotzebue, Alaska, Arthur (Susan) Kress of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Andrea Kress of Waterloo and Daryl Kress of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Corey Kress, Abigail Kress, Tracey (Anthony) Poser and Ashley (Allen) Kress; great-grandchildren, Autumn Bechtold, Bailyn Kress and Leroy Poser; and extended family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Mary (Hammers) Kress.

There will be a private celebration of Inge's life at a later date.  She will be buried beside her husband in Greenwood Cemetery.  Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.
