INEZ MILDRED
GERHOLDT,
was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Mona, Iowa the daughter of Charles and Mable (Seeley) Crangle. She married Mads Gerholdt on July 31, 1935, in Waterloo. He died Dec. 2, 1993. Inez and her husband farmed near New Hartford for many years, retiring in 1978. She died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001 at the Western Home in Cedar Falls at the age of 85 years.
Survivors include one son, Jim Gerholdt and his wife, Marilyn, of New Hartford; one daughter, Lois Nelson and her husband, Don, of Cedar Falls; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by one son, Carl, in infancy; one daughter, Rose Ridder; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harold, Marshall and Clarence Crangle; and three sisters, Evelyn, Mabel and Aline Crangle.
Services were 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2001 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Parkersburg, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, New Hartford. Memorials may be directed to the church or the Western Home.
