HILDA M.
MARTINSON, was born April 18, 1915 at Thompson, Iowa, the daughter of Elmen and Amelia (Jensen) Erickson. She moved to Cedar Falls in 1938. Hilda married Vernon Martinson December 30, 1934 at Thompson, Iowa. He preceded her in death July 30, 1966. Hilda died Thursday, March 23, 2006, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home, at the age of 90 years.
Hilda is survived by two sons, Jerry (Geraldine) Martinson of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Roger Martinson of Puerto Penasco, Mexico, and one daughter, Janice (Charles) Strein of Outing, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Scott (Julia) Martinson, Lynne (Brad) Prentice, David (Kris) Martinson, Jeane (Ron) Rabune, Craig (Terri) Strein, Carol (Mike) Jordan and Matt (Mary Nell) Martinson; seventeen greatgrandchildren and one brother, Art Erickson, of Rolfe, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Clara Ingebretison and Mable Tangen; one brother, Irvin Erickson, and one grand daughter, Mary Ann Strein.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or Nazareth Lutheran Church.
