HERMENIA F. MULDER was born September 11, 1934 near New Hartford, Iowa, the daughter of Gezinus and Grace (Wildeboer) Mulder. She was a graduate of New Hartford High School. Hermenia worked in the office of the New Hartford Elevator for six years and for Cedar Falls Trust and Savings Bank for over 32 years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of New Hartford United Methodist Church, serving as its secretary, organist and worship chairperson. She also served on the church's Administrative Board and was the treasurer for the sunday school and memorial fund. Hermenia died Saturday, September 22, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa, at 67 years of age.
She is survived by her two brothers, George of Waverly, Iowa and Oscar of Waterloo; fourteen nieces and nephews and twenty-three great-nieces and great-nephews.
Hermenia was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Herman and John Mulder, and two sisters, Gertrude Mulder and Grace Alberts.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at the New Hartford United Methodist Church with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg. A memorial fund will be established.
