Herbert H Buenzow

Herbert H. Buenzow, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, December 26, 2009, at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Falls.  He was born August 13, 1929 at Bremer County, Iowa, the son of John and Clara (Ganske) Buenzow.  Herb married Shirley Bruns on May 24, 1959 at Denver, Iowa.  He worked for the railway postal service for seven years and then the US Postal Service in Cedar Falls from 1962 until his retirement in 1987.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Buenzow, of Cedar Falls, three nieces and three nephews.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Myrtle Wood, and a brother, Leslie Buenzow.

Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at St. John Lutheran Church, with inurnment at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, Beacon of Hope Hospice, or the American Parkinson Disease Association.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
