HENRY JOHN TRUEG was born August 14, 1913 in Grundy County, Iowa the son of Louis and Hannah (Tjebkes) Trueg. He married Rosalyn Ida Andreessen on October 1, 1938 in Waverly, Iowa. Henry was a machinist at Viking Pump Company in Cedar Falls for 35 years retiring in 1978. He was a member of the Western Avenue Gospel Hall in Waterloo, Iowa. Henry died Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo at 89 years of age.
Survivors include his wife, Rosalyn, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Roger (Barbara) Trueg of Dike, Iowa and Russell (Jeanne) Trueg of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Carolyn (Joe) Hess of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his parents and a great grandchild; four sisters; Freda Wilson, Louise Hundley, Lucille Trueg and Annie Andreessen; and a brother, Edward Trueg.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2002, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Western Ave. Gospel Hall in Waterloo, Iowa.
