Helen is survived by two sons, John (Laura) Petersen of Cedar Falls and Jim (Marlys) Petersen of Bella Vista, AR; five grandchildren, Kristin (Chris) Meyer, Michelle Petersen, Missy (Tim) Bartholomew, Chris (Amy) Petersen and Carrie (Andy) Lauppe; six great grandchildren, Noah Meyer, Jessica, Andrew and Rachel Bartholomew, and Anne and Brian Petersen; two sisters, Jean (Harlan) Stenberg of Clear Lake, Iowa and Marge Gram of Sacramento, California.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and husband; two sisters, Evelyn Parker and Charlotte Olmstead, and one brother, Richard Hills.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2007, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5—8:00 p.m. Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church.
