HELEN L.
MILLER, 95, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Monday, August 2, 2004, at Lakeview Lodge in Waterloo. Helen was born August 31, 1908, the daughter of Edwin R. and Blanche G. (Thurston) DuBois in Waterloo, Iowa. She married Marion L. Miller August 24, 1929, at Cedar Falls, Iowa. Helen was director of food services for 12 years at the Cedar Falls Bible Conference and also assisted her husband in his role as recorder of Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Iowa. Helen died Monday, August 2, 2004, at Lakeview Lodge/ Friendship Village, Waterloo, Iowa at 95 years of age.
Helen is survived two daughters, Delores "Dee" (Roland) Watkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Karen (Alan) Orr of Cedar Falls, Iowa; one grandson, Paul R. Watkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, Milo DuBois.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2004, at Friendship Village Chapel in Waterloo, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 4, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to Lakeview Lodge, Friendship Village or Cedar Valley Hospice.
