HELEN J.
HABERKAMP, 77, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. Helen was born April 14, 1928 at Lake Mills, Iowa the daughter of Alfred & Clara (Hanson) Haugen. She married Eugene Haberkamp August 1, 1948 at Lake Mills. He preceded her in death December 28, 2002. Helen was co-owner of Donutland in Cedar Falls with her husband until January of 1991, then continued as a baker for her daughter until retiring in 2001.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda (Stephen) Hurley and Connie (John) Liljegren, both of Cedar Falls; Lisa (Perry) Fails of Watertown, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Shaun (Marjorie) Lane, Ryan (Kim) Lane, Nathan Hurley, Crystal Liljegren, Cari Ann Liljegren, Caleb Fails, Casey Fails, Lydia Fails and one sister, Arlene (Les) Ausen of Rockford, Iowa. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005 at St. John Lutheran Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the church.
