HAZEL L.
THIERMAN, 96, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Thursday, August 26, 2004, at the Western Home Communities Stanard Assisted Living Center in Cedar Falls. Hazel was born December 21, 1907, the daughter of Ralph and Nellie (Stromberg) Wilcox, at Charles City, Iowa. She married Ralph L. Thierman July 19, 1931, at Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death February 27, 2001. Before her retirement, she was a cashier at Iowa Public Service in Waterloo, Iowa.
Hazel is survived by many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; four sisters, Marian Hansen, Florence Mc Gregor, Emma Katcher and Mildred Knight; and one brother, Chester Wilcox.
Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to The Salvation Army or The Western Home Communities.
