Harry Lee Lind, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Western Home Communities Stanard Family Assisted Living. He was born July 26, 1931 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Christian and Kristine (Hansen) Lind. Harry married Donna Linden December 21, 1956 in Odebolt, Iowa. She preceded him in death July 19, 2011. Harry was a 1949 graduate of Cedar Falls High School and a 1957 graduate of Iowa State Teachers College (UNI). He was a bricklayer for many years and later was a realtor at Trapp Realty and then co-owner of Lind & Wood Realty. Harry retired in 1994 from the Pella Corporation, Pella, Iowa. He was a long-time member of Nazareth Lutheran Church, where he was past head usher, and was a volunteer for the American Red Cross. Harry also enjoyed fishing in northern Minnesota.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Scott) French, of Collierville, Tennesee; two sons, Mike (Pam) Lind of Pella, Iowa and David (Laurie) Lind of Loch Lloyd, Missouri; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Ken (Bev) Lind, of Waterloo, Iowa, and a sister, Ane Krueger, of Cedar Falls.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a brother, Paul Lind.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be 5—7:00 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
