Harold E. Brewster

Harold E. Brewster, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the Western Home Stanard Assisted Living Center.  He was born August 10, 1927 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of William and Louise (Zuber) Brewster. Harold married Elnora L. Burmester on December 12, 1954 in Hampton, Iowa, and she preceded him in death in 2016.  Harold graduated from Waterloo West High School and was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II.  He worked for John Deere as an inspector, retiring in 1984.

Harold is survived by one son, Dennis (Joy) Brewster, of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, Debra (Darrell) Lindaman of New Hartford, Iowa and Denise (Klaus) Fink of Springfield, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Marvin (Flora) Brewster, of Cedar Falls, and one sister, Kathy (Jim) Nickel, of Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, one daughter, Deanne Swann, and one sister, Jean Saltzman.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, with interment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service at the church on Monday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.   Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
