H. ROBERT "BOB"
NEPTUNE, 82, of Waterloo died Saturday, August 21,2004 at Allen Memorial Hospital. He was born August 23, 1921 at Decatur, Indiana the son of Kenneth S. & Della May (Dellinger) Neptune. Bob was a paratrooper in the U. S. Army during WWII serving with the 17th Airborne. On November 6, 1945 he was united in marriage to Mary E. Cowan in Alliance, Nebraska. He was owner and operator of Neptune's Family Car Wash from 1965 to 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Mary, of Waterloo; three sons, Kenneth (JoDee) Neptune of Cedar Falls, David (Lori) Neptune of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Robert Jay Neptune of Waterloo, six grandchildren and one great grandson. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Theresa A. Merrill.
Memorial services were 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at Nazareth Lutheran Church. A memorial fund will be established.
