Gregory L Phillips

Gregory Lee Phillips, 57, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at his home in Cedar Falls.  He was born December 22, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas, the son of John and Yvonne (Pecenka) Phillips.  Greg served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He was a plumber in Florida for thirty years.

Survivors include his mother, Yvonne Phillips, of Cedar Falls; two brothers, Dennis Phillips of Cedar Falls and Russell (Lisa) Phillips of Fruitland Park, Florida; and three sisters, Cindy Cable of Waterloo, Jackie Ritchie of Baltimore, Maryland and Lori (Greg) Yoder of Fruitland Park, Florida.

Greg was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Patrick Phillips.

Services will be 10:00 am Friday, May 27, 2011, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.  Visitation will be 3—7:00 pm Thursday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, where a 4 pm Rosary Service and a 7 pm Vigil Service will be conducted.  Visitation also one hour before service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the family.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
