GRANT PATRICK WHEELER was born April 28, 1967 in Horicon, Wisconsin the son of Ron and Judith (Freshwater) Wheeler. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1985. Grant married Chistine Angell on October 24, 1992 in New Hampton, Iowa. He was employed as purchasing agent with Wheeler Auto Body in Waterloo. Grant died Friday, September 27, 2002 in Cedar Falls at the age of 35 years.
Survivors include his wife, Christine, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Luke and McAllister, both at home; His father and stepmother, Ron & Jan Wheeler, of Cedar Falls; his mother and stepfather, Judith Freshwater and Kim Buenneke, of Cedar Falls; one brother, Todd Wheeler (Lauren Bramble) of Des Moines; and three sisters, Elizabeth Wheeler (Lisa Bergin) of St. Paul, Minnesota, Rebecca Wheeler (Robert Vajagich) of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Mandy (Jamie) Veraecke of Denver, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Wayne & Ruth Wheeler and his maternal grandparents, Glen & Belle Freshwater.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2002 at Orchard Hill Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family or to the Grant Wheeler Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
