Grace M Skiles

GRACE M. SKILES was born on March 18, 1916 in Waterloo, Iowa the daughter of Louis and Nettie (Larsen) Olssen. She married Kenneth N. Skiles on August 14, 1939 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 31, 1989. Grace attended the former Iowa State Teachers College and Dana College in Blair, Nebraska. She was employed with Black's Dry Goods for 14 years. Grace died on Monday, February 8, 1999, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home at 82 years of age.

She is survived by two sons, Gary and Larry, both of Cedar Falls; ten grandchildren, Amber, Angel, Andy, Amanda, Luke, Leslie, Chris, Christopher, Shannon and Shay; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Kelsey, Abby, Kaylee, Jackson and Colin.   Grace was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 10, 1999, at Nazareth Lutheran Church Chapel with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.   Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home.
