Grace Evelyn Mckinney

Grace Evelyn McKinney, 97, Janesville, died Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at the Denver Sunset Home, Denver, Iowa.

Grace was born July 25, 1927 to the late Irwin William and Letha Jean (Fuller) Bonorden.  She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1946.  Grace married Ray McKinney on March 25, 1950 in Cedar Falls and the couple was blessed with two children: James "Rusty" and Barbara.  Over the years, she worked in family restaurants and for the US Post Office.

Grace is survived by her loving son, James Russell McKinney of Janesville; and extended family and friends.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ray; daughter, Barbara Kay Abben; parents, Irwin and Letha Bonorden; step-father, Roy Harper; and brother, Bob Bonorden.

There will be a memorial service for Grace at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home with inurnment at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens.  Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is assisting the family.
