Gloria A. Archer, 82, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, December 8, 2014, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. She was born July 14, 1932, in Hollandale, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Frances (Baas) Kramer. She studied music at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. She married Claude W. Archer June 9, 1956, at the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Waterloo, Iowa. Gloria was a homemaker. She loved her family and had a passion for gardening, music, sewing and quilting. Survivors include her husband, Claude Archer of Cedar Falls; one son, Tim (Janelle) Archer of Ankeny, Iowa; three daughters, Janet (Steve) Ludolph of Waterloo, Joy (Jim) Guhl of Shell Rock, Iowa, and Judy Archer of Raleigh, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don (Aretes) Kramer of Banning, California and Robert (Amanda) Kramer of Mesquite, Nevada, and one sister, Pat (Ed) Dreesman of Sioux City, Iowa. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Charles and Paul Kramer, and one sister, Yvonne Thorne. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery in Waterloo. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and also one hour prior to services on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to the family.
