GLENN H. WHITNEY was born September 9, 1920, the son of Roscoe and Dora (Garner) Whitney. He was raised and farmed with his family near Finchford, Iowa in Bremer County. Glenn died Monday, September 28, 1998, at Country View Care Center in Waterloo, Iowa at 78 years of age.
He is survived by many family members, including his sister, Leone Bowen of Janesville, Iowa. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Irma Sands.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 1998 at Country View Care Center, with burial at Finchford Cemetery in Finchford, Iowa. Memorials may be directed to the Care Center and Cedar Valley Hospice.
