Gladys N Smith

GLADYS N.SMITH was born February 17, 1920 in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Susan (Huffer) Kiefer. She was a graduate of Cedar Falls High School and married Harry M. Smith on August 29, 1941 in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on October 31, 1998. Gladys died Thursday, October 4, 2001, at her home in Cedar Falls, at 81 years of age.

Survivors include two sons, Ron Smith of Cedar Falls, and Wesley Smith and his wife, Pat, of Hudson, Iowa, and a brother, George Kiefer of Murrieta, California.  Gladys was preceded in death by her husband and parents; four brothers, Bill, Ernie, Lloyd and Earl Kiefer, and three sisters, Helen Kiefer, Clara Wittler and Marie Hathaway.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 8, 2001, at Bethel Presbyterian Church with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Waterloo. A Memorial Fund will be established.
