George was a natural educator seeing teachable moments in everyday activities. He gladly shared his God-given gifts and passions through Habitat for Humanity, Cedar Falls Schools Band Endowment Committee, the NE Iowa Homebuilders Association, and other community activities. George was an amazing woodworker who would coax beautiful gifts, like gnomes or annual Christmas ornaments, for those he loved out of cottonwood. He enjoyed board games with his family and playing cards with his poker club friends and had a legendary competitive nature. George deeply loved his family and his happiest moments were spent with his beloved grandchildren.
