GENEVIEVE L. SALISBURY,
85, of Cedar Falls died Sunday, February 26, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo. Genevieve was born May 26, 1920 at Butler, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Martin & Lillian (Fix) Bauer. She married David P. Salisbury October 14, 1944 at Butler, Pennsylvania. He preceded her in death April 16, 1986. Genevieve was a secretary in the Administration Office of Cedar Falls Community Schools for 9 years and then worked for the Dean of Admissions at the University of Texas at Arlington for 14 years retiring in 1986. She was Noble Grand with the Rebekah Lodge in Texas and was also active with the Rebekah Lodge and the Women's Club in Cedar Falls.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Kay (John) DeKock of Cedar Falls. Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Roland and Kenneth Bauer.
Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
