GENE W.
SHIELDS, 36, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died at home on Tuesday, November 8, 2005. He was born November 20, 1968 in Cedar Falls, the son of Eugene and Mary D. (Heinen) Shields. Gene married Carolyn Jean Pope on October 16, 1999 in Waverly, Iowa. She died September 8, 2001. Gene was employed in food service with Ampride in Cedar Falls.
He is survived by his parents, Eugene and Mary Shields, of Cedar Falls; one sister, Theresa (Gary) Randall of Rogers Arkansas; two brothers, Mark Shields of Cedar Falls and Tim (Dawn) Shields of Alburnett, Iowa, and his fiancée, Nancy Martin, of Waterloo, Iowa.
Funeral services were 10:30 am Saturday, November 12, 2005, at First Christian Church in Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the family.
