Gene W Crisman

Gene W. Crisman, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, Waterloo. He was born November 4, 1935 in Duluth, Minnesota, the son of Bernard and Lavina (Lamb) Crisman. Gene married Marcia Renner May 11, 1957 in Mason City, Iowa. They were later divorced. He married Jean Pierce September 15, 2001 at the Geneseo Methodist  Church. Gene served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was co owner of C & R Print Shop in Mason City. He worked for Woolverton Printing, Cedar Bulletin, and The Home Towner, retiring in 1998.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Pierce, of Cedar Falls; one son, Jon (Carol) Crisman, of Cedar Falls; one daughter, Sally Fagerlind, of Webster City; eight grandchildren; thirteen great  grandchildren; two step daughters, Sheryl (Bob) Sharp of Des Moines and Sue (Angelo) Schmidt of Cedar Falls; one brother, Dwight (Erika) Crisman, of Chaska, Minnesota and one sister, Gerrie (Ken) Nelson, of Oklee, Minnesota.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 10:00 am Monday, December 27, 2010, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be 4 - 6:00 pm Sunday, December 26, and one hour before service, at the funeral home.  Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.  Online condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com .
