Gail Rae LaCoursiere Folkers, 70, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, October 11, 2012, at her home in Cedar Rapids. She was born October 27, 1941 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Melvin and Dorothy (Wright) Kesselring. Gail married Jake Folkers and he preceded her in death September 19, 2009. Survivors include two sons, Roger (Annette) LaCoursiere Jr. and Jeff LaCoursiere, both of Cedar Rapids, one step son, Junior (Connie) Folkers, of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Theresa (Jim) Ellis and Dottie Newlon, both of Cedar Rapids, and one step daughter, Claudia Folkers, of Cedar Rapids; sixteen grandchildren and forty one great grandchildren; two brothers, Melvin Kesselring, Jr. and Benny Kesselring, both of Cedar Rapids, and three sisters, Donna Engle and Grace Christensen, and Linda (Russ) Stolba, all of Cedar Rapids. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Kenney LaCoursiere, one step daughter, Maggie Daugherty, and a brother, Gary Kesselring. Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls.
