FLOYD W.
MCDOUGALL, 79, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at The University of Alabama-Birmingham Medical Center-West in Bessemer, Alabama. He was born January 4, 1926 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Howard and Ruth (DeWitt) McDougall. He married Bethyl L. Ford on November 26, 1949 in Waterloo. Floyd graduated from Dunkerton High School and attended Gates Business College. He served with the US Navy during WW II and the Korean Conflict. Floyd worked at Rath Packing Company for 15 years and John Deere and Company for 20 years, retiring in 1989.
Survivors include his wife, Bethyl McDougall, of Cedar Falls; two sons, Randy (Paula) McDougall of Cedar Falls and David (Kathy) McDougall of Huntington Beach, California; two daughters, Lori (Michael) Lang of Overland Park, Kansas and Karen McWilliams of Pleasant Grove, Alabama; three grandchildren, Zachary and Morgan Lang, and Rebecca McWilliams; two step-grandchildren, Michael and Steve Short; and a brother, Merle E. (Marge) McDougall of Penn Valley, California.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were 10:00 am Wednesday, March 23, at St. John Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Interment will be at Garden of Memories in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church.
