Floyd C Folkers

Floyd C. Folkers, 69, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at the Western Home Communities  Elizabeth Martin Health Center. He was born May 15, 1940, in Aredale, Iowa, the son of Frank and Marie (Oltman) Folkers.  Floyd married Bonnie Butler June 4, 1960 in Preston, Minnesota, and they were later divorced. He worked for John Deere Waterloo Tractor  Works and also was carpenter for many years in the Cedar Falls area.

Floyd is survived by one son, Rick Folkers, of California; two daughters, Laurie Arends and Carrie (Lynn) Mau, both of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Tyler and Scott Mau; two brothers, Robert Folkers of Cedar Falls, and Russell (Marilyn) Folkers of Greene, and one sister, Dorothy Maifeld, of Cedar Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Erne.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:00—7:00 p.m. Friday, April 23, at the funeral home.
