Fern J. Krumme, 92, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth Martin Health Center in Cedar Falls. She was born August 6, 1921 in Parkersburg, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Jennie (Buss) Neeman. Fern married Martin A. Krumme on March 27, 1959 in Muskegon, Michigan. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2002. Fern graduated from Parkersburg High School and Gates Business College in Waterloo. She was a secretary for the East Waterloo Draft Board and a legal secretary for fifteen years at Van Eman & Mulder Law Firm in Parkersburg. Later Fern worked for M. E. Diemer & Company and Christian Heritage School. Survivors include her two nieces, Vickie (Harvey) Poling of Kewaunee, Wisconsin and Lynne (Jon) Fritz of Lincoln, Nebraska; two great nephews and one great niece; five great great nephews and one great great niece, and close friend, Theresa (Curt) Packard, of Waterloo. Fern was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three sisters, twin sister Frances Neeman, Phyllis Neeman and Thelma Van Metre. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Cedar Falls Gospel Hall, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg. Visitation will be 5:307:30 p.m. Friday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, and one hour before service at the Gospel Hall.
