Evelyn F. Mikkelsen, 92, of Cedar Falls, died of natural causes on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Cedar Falls Lutheran Home. She was born November 10, 1915 in Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of William and Sophia (Noltensmier) Frahm. Evelyn married Miller Mikkelsen, Jr. on October 5, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2005. Evelyn graduated from Randalia High School in Randalia, Iowa, and was a hairstylist for several years. She was also a member of the Danish Sisterhood.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Kuhn, and her son, Craig Mikkelsen, both of Cedar Falls; two grandchildren, Brenton (Melissa) Kuhn of Parkville, Missouri, and Kendra (Nathan) Kramer of Grand Forks, North Dakota; two great grandchildren, Hayden and Riley Kuhn, and her sister, Izetta Warnke, of Strawberry Point, Iowa.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorial services will be 10:30 am Friday, March 14, 2008, at Fredsville Lutheran Church, with inurnment at the church cemetery, in rural Cedar Falls. Memorials may be directed to the church.
