Evelyn Lohman

Evelyn M. Lohman, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.  Evelyn was born February 8, 1930 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the daughter of William & Emily (Olson) Lutz.  She married Roger W. Lohman March 18, 1951 in Malvern Iowa.  He preceded her in death November 26, 1995.  Evelyn was the Office Supervisor for Northwestern Bell for 12 years and was a Teacher's Aide in the Cedar Falls School district for 10 years, retiring in 1993.  She belonged to T.T.T. Chapter DG, Elizabeth Circle at Nazareth Lutheran Church and the Pheasant Ridge Ladies Golf Association.

Survivors include her son, Brian (Heather) Lohman of Houston, Texas; her daughter, Dr. Lori Hupfer of Evansville, Indiana and three grandchildren, Lila Lohman, Gabriella Hupfer and Sophia Hupfer.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband and parents; her brother, Alfred Lutz; and two sisters, Edna Proctor and Ruth Stocker.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2017, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be from 3 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home and one hour prior to service time at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
