EVA E. COOPER, was born February 22, 1918 in New Hartford, Iowa, the daughter of Jesse and Florence (Vande) Olsen. She married Fred J. Folkers in 1938, they later divorced in 1962. Eva married Chauncey C. Cooper on October 17, 1964. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1995. Eva was the director of the Neighborhood Welfare Mission in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She died Thursday, June 13, 2002, at her home in Cedar Falls, at 84 years of age.
Eva is survived by her children, Beverly Folkers of Waterloo, Iowa and Daryl Folkers of Cedar Falls; her step-children, Marie Cox of Littleton, Iowa and Carl Cooper of Waterloo; a grandson, Jeffrey Tatum of Paragould, Arkansas; a step-granddaughter, Martha Ashton of Cedar Falls and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Marilyn Bernard and a brother, Russell Olsen.
Funeral services were 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2002, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Waterloo, with burial at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens in Cedar Falls. A memorial fund will be established.
