Eunice N. Rocca

Eunice N. Rocca, 95, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at the Martin Center at Western Home Communities.  She was born June 21, 1923 in Fredsville Township, rural Cedar Falls, the daughter of Albert and Helga (Larsen) Knudsen.  Eunice married Frederick P. Rocca on December 28, 1949 at Fredsville Lutheran Church.  He preceded her in death on August 21, 2001.  Eunice was a graduate of Allen School of Nursing and was  a registered nurse in Massachusetts, Illinois, Iowa and Maine, retiring in 1985, after more than 40 years of service.  She was also an accomplished artist like her husband.

Eunice is survived by four sons, Glen (Mary) Rocca of Sumner, Iowa, Brian (Erin) Rocca of Clarendon Hills, Illinois, Barry (Helen) Rocca of Prescott Valley, Arizona and Eldon (Brigid) Rocca of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter, Celia (Arthur) Parker, of Waterloo, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; two brothers, Dale (Fern) Knudsen of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Keith (Vernice) Knudsen of Neenah, Wisconsin, and three sisters, Erma Roethler of Cedar Falls, Valera Schroder of Estherville, Iowa and Velma (Duane) Wessel of New Hartford, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Donald Knudsen.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Fredsville Lutheran Church, with inurnment at Fredsville Lutheran Cemetery, both in rural Cedar Falls.  Visitation will be one hour before service at the church.  Memorials may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation, Fredsville Lutheran Church or Community of Christ Church, Cedar Falls.  Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
